Querida Mary, Querido Luis draws fragments from the real correspondence between Tamara Cubas's parents, Luis Cubas and Mary Souza, written during the years they lived apart, separated by exile under the Uruguayan military dictatorship. These excerpts — which speak of love, resistance and fragility — are displayed on electronic LED signs, turning the intimacy of the letters into a public, luminous presence.
